Hashim Welfare Association (HWA) is an integral part of our charitable organisation. It was set up locally to manage the affairs of the HWH and has been performing its function very well.
The very smooth and effective running of the hospital would not have been possible without the full-time dedication of Haji Malik Mohammed Nawaz who is native to the village, land donor, patron of the charity and father of Dr Awan.
The HWA is gaining experience of managing projects and forming its policies. Monitoring the charity’s money by a committee of donors is considered best practice by the Association.
An inspection committee has recently been formed for this purpose and its main role is inspection, recording and also investigating, if necessary, any spending or purchase over Rs10,000 for the hospital. The chairman of the Inspection Committee is Mudasar Butt who has also been the biggest local donor over the past five years.
Strategy meeting (Lahore) Officials from UK visit regularly and hold meetings with local individuals in the village, HWA and HWH staff and with other professionals wherever possible. The charitable principles are up-held and all matters are solved through democratic processes, in a transparent manner allowing deserving patients to get the full health benefits.
